Tasco

The city of Taxco has maintained its charme with its colonial ambiance built on the side of a mountain, with very steep narrow cobblestone streets lined by whitewashed houses with red-tiled roofs and the towering, impressive 240 year old Santa Prisca Catheral. It's known for its natural wealth of silver. Beautiful view of the top of the mountains from one of the homes in Taxco.

Picture of the very top of the mountain where a cross stands.

Magnified view of a bug that was sitting atop of a beautiful tile at a restaurant roof deck.

Teotihuacan

About one hour away from the center of Mexico City the remains of an ancient exist called Las Piramides de Teotihuacan.

Climbing the Sun Pyramid.

I am sitting in the very same place where this ancient community performed human sacrifices. It is also in front of the Moon Pyramid.

Inside a smaller pyramid.

Me with my favorite drink, Paloma (Tequila with Grapefruit soda and salt on the rim of the glass).

In front of the Pyramid of the Sun.

A table napkin shaped like a Mexican Hat. I loved it.

That itty bitty people here are Mario and I, coming down from the Pyramid.

A chocolate raspberry pyramid dessert. I almost didn't want to eat it...but guess what? It's chocolate.

Mexico City

MEXICO CITY.....It is one of the largest cities in the world and is classed as a megalopolis as it encompasses one large city that has slowly engulfed other, smaller ones. It is located in the Valley of Mexico. The picture above is the view of the Valley of Mexico City from my hotel Camino Real , Mexico D.F.

My hotel Camino Real, D.F.

This is me posing after a long day at work on the second floor of my hotel, Camino Real.

The most recognizable icon of Mexico City is the golden Angel de la Indepencia monument in the heart of Mexico City.

This is the school where Diego Rivera taught and obviously where he met Frida Kahlo.

Hanging out with the people from the Mexico office at La Taberna Del Leon. Mexico D.F.

In front of La Taberna Del Leon (Lion) Restaurant.... That beside me must be the Lion.
